BIG BLUFF SNOW

Buffalo National River, Arkansas

This was an amazing and rare opportunity to be standing on the Goat Trail at the edge of the tallest bluff along the Buffalo River the morning after a snow.  The idea for the composition came from a black and white photograph in a book by photographer, author and conservationist Dr. Neil Compton, a man who played an instrumental role in the creation of the Buffalo National River in 1972.  Image made on medium format film.
