Wind Blown Dunes
Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado
On my way home from a trip to the San Juan Mountains in southwest Colorado, I decided to stop and photograph the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The evening was very windy with gusts of 40 to 50 mph. On my way to the highest dune in the park to photograph the sunset, I made this image of the wind blown dunes and distant Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
