Rainbow Overlook at Badlands
Badlands National Park, South Dakota
I made this image during a stop at Badlands National Park in South Dakota on my way to Montana. While driving the Badlands Loop through the park, I noticed this incredible overlook and decided to stop and wait for the sunset. For this image, I quickly positioned my tripod and camera composing the image with the late evening light illuminating the prairie grasses in the foreground and badlands in the distance.
